CKD and Mental Health study: Cohort is patients with CKD.
Chronic Kidney Disease is defined by clinical diagnosis integrating egfr measurements and urine albumin measurements and pathological conditions
Methodology
Context
To identify a cohort with CKD both those overtly coded and those where results indicate disorder
Inclusion/exclusion criteria
All coded CKD and those with raised eGFR (to be further separated)
Borderline cases
List any codes which were considered borderline, and explain why they were included/excluded.
Sensitivity vs specificity
Is the aim of this codelist to be specific (e.g. hypertension via confirmed diagnosis codes), or sensitive (e.g. flu via potential symptom codes)?
