About

Description

Common mental health condition not otherwise specified (CMHC-NOS) diagnostic codes following methods outlined in the [Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey: Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing, England, 2023/4](https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/adult-psychiatric-morbidity-survey/survey-of-mental-health-and-wellbeing-england-2023-24/methods)

Methodology

  • ICD-10 codes used during the search were: F41.2 (Mixed anxiety and depressive disorder).
  • We decided to not include the parent code for Anxiety disorder (197480006) because we want to keep this category specific to only include Mixed anxiety and depressive disorder

Codelists are developed by a broad community of users for individual study purposes, which may or may not meet the needs of other studies. They should not be thought of as universal definitions of a particular condition.

We don't offer any guarantees about what they do or don't identify. Users should carefully check that any codelist meets their needs, and seek clinical input where appropriate.
