The definition of PAD in this codelist is not limited to limb disease. It includes pathologies affecting vessels not existing within (or primarily supplying) the coronary, cerebral, or retinal circulation. This is intended to provide coverage of all cardiovascular atherosclerotic disease when combined with separate codelists for IHD and cerebrovascular disease.
