Identified from intial search terms outside of OpenCodelists: "sleep" "insomnia" "waking" "awake" awakening" "dyssomnia" somnol" "somnia" "sleep walk" "somnambul"
Clearly irrelevant codes excluded (not reviewed by a second clinician)
Candidate codelist uploaded to OpenCodelists for review of candidate codes.
Removed non-specific codes for sleeping during the day or drowsiness, which may be symptoms unrelated to sleep disturbance (e.g., medications causing daytime sleepiness). Excluded central apnoea codes, likely to be a formal neurological diagnosis.
