Description
Intended to identify birth or end of pregnancy events +/- a few days.
Excluding postpartum period which can be up to 6 weeks or other events that may be diagnosed/entered more than a few days after birth/delivery/miscarriage. The patient would most likely have another code indicating the end of pregnancy so this is not likely to exclude many pregnancies.
Codelists are developed by a broad community of users for individual study purposes, which may or may not meet the needs of other studies. They should not be thought of as universal definitions of a particular condition.
